Owning a vintage trailer is the dream of many. If not, you won’t click on the page after seeing the picture of RVs, right? And here I’m recommending a website, Tin Can Tourist (http://www.tincantourists.com/) to RV lovers like you. It was actually founded long before the internet came around, at a Florida holiday trailer park in the year 1919. Committed to the celebration of classic RVs, they’ve been organizing annual gatherings and information exchange ever since. Having summer plans on the road, I found the website’s classifieds section particular interesting. Trailers of all shapes, sizes and budgets are listed for sale here to drive your imagination wild. And I picked several of my favorites, let’s check it together!
1. Complete with a time capsule kitchen, a 1950 Spartan Carousel
Asking price $55,000. Trailer located in Sacramento, CA.
This 1960 Spartan Carousel is actually the model that Spartan created to show the lifestyle of a new decade. From its newly enlarged exterior to its totally re-designed and spacious blond birch panel interior, the Carousel was the epitome of “Mid-Century Modern”.
2. Compact time travelling in a 1974Scotty Gaucho
Asking price: $14,000. Located in Plainwell, Michigan.
This Scotty has maple and walnut interior and everything has been replaced, updated or restored. The concise design and its vintage style has won popularity from plenty of RV lovers.
3. A 1940s Streamline Mobile Car
This 1948 Palace Royale, asking price $35,000, located in Prescott, Arizona, can be open to trade for another trailer.
It has a serving bar which will definitely attract all of your friends. And its retro, light and airy properties make it a hit choice for any party, wedding or events.
4. Classic 1964 Airstream Bambi Ⅱ
Located on Marion, Kansas, its asking price is $19,995. It has a great condition on the outside but there’s little creation in the inside. It was decorated by Kristiana Spaulding, an Airstream enthusiast who renovates vintage trailers and rents them out for events and shoots. What’s most appealing about this trailer is that you can do your own DIY project to it.
5. 1950s Vagabond
Located in Panama City, Florida, this RV has an asking price of $20,000. With only a few upgrades, the interior restored to its original condition. This trailer won best in show TCT April event NC. And I bet that everyone would attracted by the stars and stripes!
