Everyone in his childhood had a special little friend, a stuffed animal like a teddy or a rabbit. When we are just a kid, they were soft, clean and in one piece. However, as we grew older, the several years of hugs, cuddles and mishaps left these little companies in a state of disrepair. They may have missed a leg or eye, been discolored or been bald. However, it is these time imprints on them that creates a special appeal and charm in having a much-loved toy. Photographer Mark Nixon has created a whimsical and nostalgic collection of images of individual teddy bears that are battered and worn from years of play. The collection will be published in a new book called Much Loved from Abrams& Chronicle Books.
Look at these greatest childhood pals, despite how disheveled they might look, we still love them.
