Perfect Carving Works by Maskull Lasserre: Skeletons and Insects Carved In Common Inanimate Objects
Maskull Lasserre is an artist carving skeletons, insects or human bodies in common inanimate objects. His works, which are titled Fable, have even been exhibited at Centre Space gallery in Toronto. People would easily think of his works horrible and macabre, because much of his works are skulls or skeletons. However, he holds in his own way, “I often see it (his work) as hopeful, as the remnants of a life. Despite the fact that the life has ended, at least that life had a beginning and middle as well, so often by imparting these bodily elements to inanimate objects it reclaims or reanimates them in a virtual way.” ( via: colossal )
