To live a life like the movie Transforming may not be a dream anymore- at least, we may soon have the motorcycle manufactures like Kawasaki have presented us. At the Tokyo Motor Show, Kawasaki unveils J, a three- wheel electric motorcycle concept behind which there is a daring idea: all-put transformable.
The Kawasaki J may indeed excite us and give us much expectation about futuristic bikes, however, when observed a little further, the design of J is just as mediocre as others’.
The J has no handlebars for riders to grip, and instead, there is a pair of arms attached to the two front wheels. This design is like of mixture of the speeder bike in Star Wars and the light cycles in TRON: Legacy. For a speedy” Sort Mode”, riders needs to put the arms in a low, and for a “ Comfort Mode”, riders just needs to raise the arms up. These modes influence not only the speed, but also the width between the two front wheels, providing riders with better handling experience.
A bank of high-capacity nickel-metal hydride batteries will power the J, but what range of the speed they will afford to the J has yet to be released. What’s more, the Kawasaki is waiting for the potential buyers attitudes to decide whether the production of J will hit the streets.
