This elephant called Raju was held in chains and beaten and abused for 50 years! 50 years, guys, that’s more than half a human’s life, can you imagine being treated like this for this long? When he was released to freedom by a wildlife charity in a daring midnight operation, he cried. 50 years of torture makes him look very old and tired, what he’s been through must be like hell.
Elephants have long been proven to have feelings of grief, they are highly intelligent animals, I can’t even imagine what is like for him to be torture half a century. They are just like us, people, they also have feelings!
Every time I see something like this, I can’t help crying, why do humans want to hurt them? We are all living in the same planet, they are not our slaves or our enemies, we should treat them like friends, even if you really are not an animal fan, you can still leave them alone, why abusing them? This is so ruthless.
I really hope that Raju and other animals don’t suffer anymore.
