This grandpa is 88-year-old now, he moved into the apartment in 1988 when he retired as a coal miner. The land was a patch of wasteland, so he immediately set to work and planted a golden privet hedge and ornamental maple tree. His work is really stunning, the wasteland has now turned into a beautiful garden that brightens up the area. He said people love what he has done and everyone has been behind him all the way.

This land he has put so much patience and love into is owned by a housing association, but fortunately, RCT Homes, the housing association which owns the peoperty and garden in partnership with Rhondda Cynon Taf county Borough Coucil, approves of this grandfather’s efforts.

This is probably the sweetest story I’ve read in a long time. Check this out.
