In modern life, most of us think that the belongings reflect one’s fortune. The more we get, the happier we’ll be. However, after you have seen these photos of Chinese families, you may change your view.
The photographer is Huang Qingjun who has shot a series of photos called “Jiadang”, means “Family Staff”. He has spent almost 10 years traveling around the rural areas of China, and most of them are poor and backward. The pictures he has shot include all types of poor Chinese families. Poor as they are, we can also see the happiness and content on their faces. The possessions they own are much less than ours, but they’re as strong and active towards life as we are. That’s what teaches us. After seeing these pictures, maybe we can go home and check out how much we own is actually unnecessary and share this mind-blowing article with others.
It’s humbling to see just how little these poor Chinese families have.
However, it’s also inspirational.
These people live their lives with so few possessions, we could probably fit their belongings in a vehicle we own.
But that hasn’t made them give up on life.
In fact, they still soldier on and have hopes, dreams, fears and triumphs.
Their life is different from yours, no doubt, but it doesn’t exactly make it worse.
It’s so hard to believe that this is IT.
This may be all they require.
