Cats Ruled Two Islands in Japan

0 715

We’re now living in the world ruled by human race. However, you may meet a place ruled by those cats, or, say, places. In Japan, there are at least two such islands—-Tashirojima in Miyagi prefecture and Aoshima in Ehime prefecture.

At first, there are over a thousand people living in these islands. But now, there are just over a hundred, with the majority being in their 70s. Thus the cats, outnumbering the locals, actually own the place. Vets come there to check up on them, making sure the animals are healthy. Dogs are apparently prohibited. The locals like these animals, because each year they attract lots of tourists here.
